89 Seconds
Minesweeper Intermediate - 89 seconds for 40 mines in a 256 square box.
My old best time was 106 seconds. I was hitting 120 consistently, but I decided to change strategy - must have been a good idea.

I use to play this one with the kids. You can blow some time in a hurry with this one. ;-}
Those were the days when I would sit in front of the pc and spend hours on end with Minesweeper. I don't remember my high scores but I think I managed the smallest on in 9 or 10 seconds flat! It was real fun!
That is a standard Windows game, and is probably on your computer somewhere. Look in your start button\programs\Accessories\Games. If it's not there, it might be somewhere else, or not. Who knows.
You can probably download it from somewhere if necessary, but he should be able to get started the moment you read this.
I don't have it on this one but usetacould play on the old one. I found it rather quickly for him. It was just funny that he got so excited to see the game.
College dropout, 4 years in the army, 10 as a diesel mechanic, going on 20 in programming. I've been a nose-down programmer, a release engineer, and now maintain Microsoft and Java web servers.
I make sure the code works its way through to market. Hence, codepoke.

I can only say this because I am one, but:
"Viva la geeks!"
Now I know why we get along so well ... just downloaded the mobie version on my smartphone.
Congratulations! This is a good thing, right?
Waaay too clever for me! I can only sit here in awe of your scintillating mental powers! :)
BTW
My son said "Dude you always leave a link to this stuff so a guy can play"
